A RECUPERATOR is a special purpose counter-flow energy recovery AIR HEAT EXCHANGER positioned within the supply and exhaust air streams of an air handling system, or in the exhaust gases of an industrial process, in order to recover the waste heat. Generally, they are used to extract heat from the exhaust and use it to preheat air entering the combustion system. In this way they use waste energy to heat the air, offsetting some of the fuel, and thereby improves the energy efficiency of the system as a whole. WASTE HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM

WASTE HEAT RECOVERY is a process of recovering ENERGY from waste process outputs. These are custom built equipments or systems designed as per the waste heat available and the process heat load. • These are custom built equipments as per the type waste heat available and the process heat requirements. A detailed study of the clients system is required. • These systems can be designed to recover waste heat from high temperature flue gases of furnaces , DG sets, boilers or any other heat source. • The waste heat recovery can be designed in shell and tube type or water tube type design based on the operating pressure of the system. SMOKE TUBE TYPE WASTE HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEMS : • Package type boilers is an internal furnace Boiler with a three pass, fully wet back & smoke tube type design. The fuel is charged through a charging door to keep the fire going. Package type is designed to provide low cost heating with minimum operational complexity. • Due to proper shell or steam drum diameters, steam volume is more & hence better steam quality. • Steam Quality is better as Properly Designed Drum Internals are Provided. • Provided with accessories like Economiser, Deaerator Tank etc. as per requirement for better performance of the Waste Heat Boiler. • Capacity and Working Pressure of the Waste Heat Recovery is considered as per Customers requirement. • Heat Exchangers and Waste Heat Recovery Boilers are especially made as per codes like IBR 1950 with its Latest Amendments/TEMA etc. WATER TUBE TYPE WASTE HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEMS : • Natural or Forced Circulation Type Configuration is possible. • WHRU system is designed based on the Waste Gases Type and other Basic Design Parameters, Hence Reliable Operation. • Smoke chambers are lined with castable refractory material to protect the inside surfaces. • Simple arrangement of smoke chamber door fixing, facilitate easy periodical tube cleaning. • Finned Tube Construction is available which makes the WHRU compact. • Steam Heat Recovery Boilers are available in both Bi-Drum and Single Drum type arrangements. • Due to proper shell or steam drum diameters, steam volume is more & hence better steam quality. • Steam Quality is better as Properly Designed Drum Internals are Provided. • Provided with accessories like Super Heater, Economiser, Deaerator Tank etc. as per requirement for better performance of the Waste Heat Boiler. • Capacity and Working Pressure of the Waste Heat Recovery is considered as per Customers requirement. • Heat Exchangers and Waste Heat Recovery Boilers are especially made as per codes like IBR 1950 with its Latest Amendments/TEMA etc. WASTE HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM ranges from single unit to entire system which includes CO-GENERATION SYSTEMS which can generate ELECTRICITY by producing steam from running boiler operating on process outputs. ECONOMIZER

An ECONOMIZER is a device which is used to reduce the energy consumption in the system by utilizing energy from process outputs. Economizer is a type of HEAT EXCHANGER which is used for heat transfer between two fluids. Economizer basically reuses waste heat from hot flue gases from boiler and preheats the feed water going to boiler. Thus energy required for generating steam is reduced due to preheated water.
